Technology in the dental field is ever-changing and Dr. Dbouk enjoys learning how to integrate state-of-the-art equipment into his practice. Utilizing the latest advancements in dentistry allows Dr. Dbouk to treat patients with less pain and in fewer visits. This equals less time in the dental chair and a more comfortable experience from start to finish.
CBCT is a medical radiographic imaging that allows accurate, three dimensional (3D) imaging of hard tissue structures. CBCT delivers a lower dose of radiation compared to conventional CT scan, higher image quality and has more advantages than 2D scan like panoramic X Rays. It is valuable for 3D surgical planning, diagnosis of pathology, localization of impacted teeth, vertical fractures of roots and airway constriction.
The 3Shape TRIOS® is an award-winning digital scanner that allows Dr. Dbouk to take a digital scan of your mouth instead of using traditional alginate or other goopy impression materials. Digital impressions are more accurate, more comfortable, and allow Dr. Dbouk to see a computerized model of your mouth on his monitor in seconds. This model can be manipulated to present different treatment options. The images can be merged with CT scan images in a software and form digital guides for precise implant placement based on teeth and bone position.
3D printing has revolutionized dental restorations. Using CAD/CAM software and a digital impression, Dr. Dbouk can design a surgical guide, retainers, mouth guards. After the the intra-oral scan is made, the 3D printer creates your mouth guards, retainers and even surgical guides to guide implant placement for accurate positioning.
Dr. Dbouk regularly evaluates your overall health, including a visual exam of all areas of your mouth. VELscope® is a wireless, handheld device that emits a safe, blue light. VELscope® has performed more than 25 million exams and is recognized by the World Health Organization for its contribution to help detect cancerous and precancerous lesions. If we identify any unusual changes in your mouth tissue, we may suggest a biopsy and microscopic analysis by a qualified lab.
Intraoral cameras have a powerful magnification which can show high quality images of teeth and gum tissues. Dr Dbouk can refer to these images to show you changes of your oral health and hygiene between appointments.
